Chania for Prepar3D

Aerosoft has announced Chania – Ioannis Daskalogiannis Airport is now available for Prepar3D version 4.

Based on the Greek island of Crete, the package from Aerosoft is an accurate recreation of the real airport and surrounding area. The runway and taxiway layout is accurately replicated with detailed ground markings and 3D lights. These automatically activate or deactivate depending on the time of day and weather conditions. Other highlights consist of up-to-date aprons, parking positions and airport buildings – including the new terminal completed in 2018.

The peninsula and western Crete are covered with custom mesh, high-resolution ground textures and accurate coastlines. More than 39,000 trees and 3D buildings are also modelled. The package is compatible with Orbx Global/Vector and supports automatic seasonal changes – the 8,045ft mountain to the south of the airport is snow-covered from October to May.

Features:

  • Animated service vehicles
  • SODE animated windsocks
  • Optional dynamic lighting for the apron
  • 3D grass
  • Sun reflections.

Chania is available over on the Aerosoft online shop for €23.14 (approx. £20.70/$25.30).
