DCS WWII Asset Pack Update

Eagle Dynamics has announced that two new vehicles have been added to the WWII Asset Pack.

First, the Douglas A-20 Havoc G. This variant came into service in February 1943 and was the most produced version of the Havoc. It featured two Wright R-2600 14-cylinder radial engines and six fixed 12.7mm Browning machine guns in the nose and two in a dorsal turret. It could carry up to 4,000lbs of bombs and was considered a formidable light attack bomber.

Coming to the waters of DCS WWII is the Type VIIC German U-boat. Introduced to the German Navy in 1940, it saw extensive action throughout the war. In 1942 the German Navy experimented with what was called “U-flak”, adding extra anti-air protection to their submarines. While this worked for a short time, the RAF made their own adjustments, and the U-flak boats were discontinued and converted back to standard attack boats.

A new updated model of the T-72B3 is coming soon to the DCS World battlefields. This version of the T-72B saw action in Syria. The tank is equipped with a 125 mm smoothbore main gun, a 12.7 mm roof-mounted machine gun and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun. It can also fire the 9M119 and M119M guided missiles. It is equipped with the same armour used on the T-80 and T-90 main battle tanks.
