MilViz has announced the FSX: Steam Edition version of the PC-6 Porter is now available. It is essentially the same as the P3DV4 product, but with no PBR, lower resolution textures, and without TrueGlass. It retains all the other features, including the custom engine and systems programming.
The PC-6 has been faithfully recreated with authentic flight dynamics, a detailed 3D model with five liveries and an accurate PT6 turboprop engine model with realistic spool-up rates, in-flight ‘beta’ mode and engine failures if limits are exceeded.
All the systems are accurately simulated, allowing for realistic startup and shutdown procedures. The fuel system comes with external tanks for some variants, while the custom electrical system models battery overheating and operable circuit breakers. The KAP 140 autopilot is also accurately modelled.
It comes with a custom GPS, however it is also compatible with the Flight1 GTN 650/750, Reality XP 530/430 GNS and the Navstax Radio/Navigation Suite. Please note, these are purchased separately.
