Airfoil Labs Design Team has announced the King Air 350 is now available for X-Plane 11.
The package comes with 18 hand-painted liveries based on real-world paint schemes and features PBR effects and UHD textures for both the interior and exterior. Details such as rivets, placard, photorealistic engines are modelled along with wear and tear in the cockpit.
Designed as a study-level aircraft, the King Air 350 features accurate system’s simulation of the electrical, pressurisation, hydraulics, fuel, APU and the PT6 powerplants. The avionics are also fully modelled along with a weather radar, the X-Plane 11 FMS and an accurate autopilot.
Extensive 2D panels can be used to manage ground services along with weight and balance and fuel. Presets are available to set panel states such as ‘Before Taxi’, ‘Cold & Dark’, ‘Before Engine Start’ and ‘Before Take-off’.
The package features 3D FMOD sounds with 924 sound recordings, including realistic cockpit audio effects with as bus tie relays, electrical discharges during igniters, etc.
Various animations are included such as caps, latches, remove before flight objects, doors, electrical towing and refuelling. Special effects include ice on the wings and windscreen, rain effects and animated wipers.
The product uses a new XJet plugin for licensing, software distribution and automatic updates. Documentation includes aircraft specs and limits, performance tables and checklists with fully automated with speech, hints and messages.
