Aerostar 601P Ready for X-Plane 11.30

Developed by Ted R Smith, the Aerostar 601P has just received a major update to take advantage of new features introduced in X-Plane 11.30.

The Aerostar now uses the new de-icing system in X-Plane 11.30, adding window icing effects and leading-edge inflatable de-ice boot. It accurately replicates the system found in real aircraft, so you will need to let ice accumulate on the wing before blasting it off. The load on the electrical system is also accurately simulated, so the current will only be consumed from the assigned electrical system when the compressor is running, so it will only generate amp spikes instead of a continuous load.

The engines have been modified to take advantage of the improved manifold pressure modelling in X-Plane 11.30 and Reality XP GTN 750 integration has been added along with new 3D menus, so all commands are now available in VR (Virtual Reality).

Other highlights in the update include:

  • Some indicators have been redrawn for a better visibility
  • FMOD improvements.
  • SASL updated

Please note that to update the Aerostar, the Skunkcrafts Updater is mandatory. It can be downloaded for free from x-plane.org.

The Aerostar 601P is available over on x-plane.org for $29.95 (approximately £23/€26). Click here for more information.
