Aerosoft has said the next scenery for X-Plane 11 will be Faroe Islands XP.
The package is a realistic recreation of the Faroe Islands, covering a 1.400 km² area with high-resolution terrain mesh and seasonal texture sets. It will feature customized local terrain detail, including an accurate rendition of the Vágar Airport, with a sloped runway, and the eight helipads spread over the archipelago.
Other highlights include Faroese themed autogen, navigation obstacles, night lighting and dynamic traffic on the islands. In addition, hundreds of custom objects with PBR materials, 3D vegetation will cover the islands.
The following work in progress screenshots were released to showcase the Faroe Islands in X-Plane. Aerosoft is planning to release the package before this Christmas.
