D18S Touches down in Prepar3D and FSX

Carenado has announced the D18S is now available for FSX and Prepar3D.

Based on the Beechcraft Model D18S, the aircraft from Carenado features seven HD liveries, realistic D18S sound effects and authentic cockpit night lighting.

Up front, the cockpit is fitted with an authentic period autopilot and the Carenado GNS530, although it is also compatible with the Flight1 GTN 750 and Reality XP GNS530 v2.  These are not included in the package and are sold separately.

Other highlights include volumetric props, take-off run and landing roll effect along with custom brakes sounds.

A control panel can be used to set a cold and dark start state as well as controlling various options such as window transparency, instrument reflections and static elements including wheel chocks and prop tie downs.

Documentation includes normal and emergency procedures, performance tables, a reference PDF and a Carenado GNS530 user guide.

The D18S is compatible with FSX, FSX: Steam Edition and Prepar3D v2/v3/v4.  It is available for $34.95 on the Carenado website.
