Mil Mi-35 Lifts Off

Nemeth Designs Development Group has released the Mil Mi-35 MkIII for FSX, FSX: Steam Edition and Prepar3D V4.

The package comes with three paint themes along with a detailed exterior and interior model, with hundreds of custom animations such as snow and rain effects on the windshield.  Other highlights include a fully clickable virtual cockpit with night lighting and 3D instruments.

The real Mi-35
The Mil Mi-35 (Super Hind) is the most advanced version of the Mi-24 series helicopters, developed by the South African Advanced Technologies and Engineering (ATE).  Development focused on improving on the Mi-24 deficiencies in regard of night-combat capabilities, fire-power, reliability and troublesome and expensive logistics. This included a removal of most of obsolete, Soviet-made avionics — only the air data system, rate gyros and radar altimeter were retained. This resulted in weight reduction of more than 1,800kg.  Upgrades included a new doppler radar, GPS-assisted navigational system, the ARINC Mil-Std 1553 data-bus, the Carl Zeiss Optronics Argos 410-Z airborne observation system turret, a dual-feed, hydraulically driven Vektor F2 chain turret with a 20-millimeter GIAT cannon and South African-made ZT-3 Ingwe anti-tank guided missiles were among the many installed upgrades.

Mil Mi-35 is available3 for $32, but customers who purchased the earlier Mil Mi-24A or Mil Mi-24V are entitled to a 50% discount.  Click here for more information over on the Nemeth Designs website.
